What's New?

New Features in 2023!

IFTDSS version updates in the last few months include the new features highlighted below, in addition to routine bug fixes and maintenance:

  • Upload your own Landscape files to IFTDSS from Map Studio.
  • LANDFIRE Version 2022 landscapes are available for the conterminous United States, Alaska, and Hawaii.
  • Bookmark a collection of map view extents and layers (model outputs, shapes, etc.) so you can quickly return to them later by using the Map Bookmark widget in the top right of Map Studio.
  • Use new Zoom widgets to Map Studio to zoom to a rectangle drawn on the map.
  • Additional IFTDSS Reference Layers for the fire environment including:
    • Geographic Areas (GACCs)
    • Estimated Ground Evacuation Time
    • Potential Control Locations
    • Snag Hazard
    • Suppression Difficulty Index 97th (SDI)
    • Scenic Rivers and Streams

  • Multiple summary reports can now be opened in the same browser.
  • Re-enable your own account if you’re already logged in via e-Auth or Login.gov.
